So I finally rebooted the comic with color and a new format. I’m real excited about it this time especially since I have an 8-10 buffer. So weekly strips about the life and world of firefighting updated every Monday. Enjoy!
Want a full-color, 11×17 print of this comic? It’s only $9.99!

Hi, I came across your comic via the little strip you did for Robot Beach. I wanted to say I really like the idea of a comic strip based on a real life profession, such as, firefighting. It is wonderful way to be entertained and be informed about an occupation that folks may know little about or have unwarranted preconception about. As an archivist I had the opportunity to sit on a street naming committee for a small city where I discovered also on the committee was a firefighter. As an archivist my role was to provide names based on people and families historically significant to the community. What I had not thought of before was the importance naming and identifying addresses had to emergency services such as firefighting with regards to correctly locating an address in a timely manner. It is always great to learn something that you haven’t thought of before. Cheers, John
Hey John, yeah, road names are interesting and have often been an issue on calls. A lot of streets sound the same and though it is up to a dispatcher to be as clear as possible of the location, let’s just say it doesn’t always make it to everyone. I think for me taking calls in multiple towns, the most confusing is when two towns have the same named street very close to each other. The person in need of help can identify the street they are on but it’s not always the right town as many fire, EMS and police services from multiple towns share a single dispatch facility. Thanks for sharing, I hope you come back!
