Been a while since anything has happened here and I wanted to update you on my comic progress. If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, you sorta know the deal. A few months ago I decided to reinvent Frequent Flyers and Jakes. After 18+ months of doing a weekly comic strip I’ve concluded that a 3-4 panel strip is not my thing. I’m not much of a writer and I don’t feel like I tell very good jokes. I’ve decided to evolve the strip to a single panel “The Far Side” style comic which is more in tune with how I picture these scenarios. Additionally I wanted to evolve the art as well and utilize a characters full body instead of the waist up like I’ve been doing.

To help me stay on track I’ve accepted the 100 Days of Making Comics Challenge which basically means I’m devoting at least 30 minutes a day to the comic. In doing so I’m making regular videos posted on my YouTube channel updating my progress and help to hold me accountable. I posted a video earlier today which I embedded below. If you’re interested and check out the rest of the 100 Days of Making Comics videos on my YouTube channel.

Here’s the good part. I’m nearly ready to start posting comics again. EMS1.com hasn’t given up on me which I’m super grateful for and Greg Friese, the website’s editor, has been a big help since day one. So hang on just a little longer, I promise it’ll be worth it. Thanks and stay safe.
