Here’s the next installment of ambulance history. The sixties and seventies converted large station wagons into ambulances, raising the roof in some models and overall, increasing the patient compartment space. Larger engines continued to evolve and decrease transport times along with more refined roadways. Communications with telephones and radios were more common as  technology became more sophisticated and reliable.
