It seems like every hybrid and electric car has a different arrangement of wires and power cables that can or cannot be cut during an extrication. There’s all sorts of training but seriously, how can rescuers remember each make, model and year’s setup to know where to cut safely. Even on a basic level, figuring out how to de-energize these vehicles can be tricky. There are apps with the most up-to-date car info so that is but I can say with some certainty that I am uncertain with these vehicles. Just another hazard of the job, I suppose. Just make sure y’all know exactly what you are cutting before you cut, essentially the rule with all vehicles anyway.
